Dr. Andre L. Harrison
Thursday Keynote Speaker
Dr. Andre` L. Harrison currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Accreditation Services for Cognia, the world’s largest accrediting agency and continuous improvement network, and he has over three decades of experience in the field of education. Dr. Harrison has supported institutions throughout the United States and other countries across the world during their continuous improvement journey. Prior to serving in his current role, he served as Vice President of Accreditation Services, Senior Director for the Central Region (Midwest, Southeast Territories) for Cognia, a Regional Director for Advance Education (AdvancED) | Measured Progress Southeast Region, and as the Alabama State Director and Lead Evaluator for AdvancED. Dr. Harrison is also a member of the Auburn University College of Education National Alumni Council where he currently serves as the Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee.
Before joining AdvancED, he served as superintendent, chief of staff, deputy superintendent, assistant superintendent, director of curriculum and instruction, principal, teacher, and library media specialist for the Elmore County Board of Education in Wetumpka, Alabama; he also has more than 25 years of experience as an adjunct university instructor. He is currently serving as an adjunct assistant professor of Educational Leadership for the University of Alabama. Dr. Harrison has a passion for supporting institutions, as a thought leader, during their continuous improvement journey. His areas of expertise include educational leadership, board governance, finance, human resources, and school improvement.
Dr. Harrison is a published author in the areas of leadership and board governance, curriculum and instruction, and school finance. He recently co-authored The Alabama School Finance Handbook that will be used in training sessions for aspiring and new superintendents. This handbook will also be used by Alabama professors teaching school finance in leadership courses at universities in Alabama. Dr. Harrison received his doctoral degree from Auburn University.

Judge J C Love
Friday Keynote Speaker
Judge J C Love, appointed as the 17th Probate Judge for Montgomery County by Governor Kay Ivey on November 15, 2019, is the court’s second African American judge and its first licensed attorney since former Judge Perry O. Hooper, Sr. Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, he attended Montgomery Public Schools and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School. Judge Love attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as Student Government Association President and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He earned his law degree from Boston College Law School in 2004.
Judge Love began his law practice in Atlanta, Georgia and was appointed by former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin to leadership roles as Hearing Officer and Attorney Member of the License Review Board. He was appointed by the Atlanta City Council to serve as its representative on Atlanta’s economic development board, Invest Atlanta.
Judge Love’s commitment to community service and legal advocacy is evident through his involvement in organizations such as the Britton YMCA, the Capital City Bar Association, the Montgomery Bar Foundation, Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Foundation Board, Red Tails Scholarship Foundation, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Since his appointment, Judge Love has spearheaded efforts to modernize the Probate Court’s operations and enhance services for Montgomery residents. Some notable initiatives include pioneering the state’s first probate court mobile app, implementing electing filing in all state probate courts, promoting voter registration through electronic kiosks, and worked to protect Montgomery County property owners from property fraud through R.E.A.A.C.T.
Beyond his professional achievements, Judge Love is married to Dr. Porcia Bradford Love, with whom he shares three children. Through his multifaceted leadership and commitment to service, he continues to make significant strides in advancing both the legal system and community welfare in Montgomery.
